Browsing Japanese Web Sites and using Japanese in E-Mail

1. If you are using Internet Explorer for web browsing and Outlook Express for e-mail, download the free Global IME Input Method Editor. Downloading this will now download the Japanese Language Support Pack to display Japanese.

Do a keyword search for Global IME in http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

2. If you use Windows but do not use Internet Explorer or Outlook Express (maybe Netscape and Eudora or a free Web e-mail site), you can also download NJWIN to display Japanese and you can input Japanese in Eudora by cutting from JWP and pasting. You can also try NJSTAR Communicator shareware.

Go to the Monash University mirror site http://mirrors.nihongo.org/monash

and search for NJWIN or NJCOM.
