How can you help current and future DVC chemistry students?

We hope you feel that you got a lot out of your DVC experience and would want to give back in some way in the future. We can always use your help. Consider one of the following or suggest something you would like to do.

Be part of the DVC Science Alumni network.

Help current students determine what they want to do as a career and possibly help DVC science alumni relocate or change careers. If you have transferred and are still in school you can often help by just providing a friendly face for new transfer students. To volunteer, just check the "Networking ok" button on your registration form on this Web site. You can make a big difference in someone's life with very little time committment.

Tell your friends and neighbors about your good experiences at DVC.

Encourage them to enroll at DVC. We would like to keep growing while still providing the small class experience. The school is still very high in transfers to the UC and CSU systems . We have been working hard to increase appropriate technology use and build needed new buildings and maintain our over 50 year old campus while providing a substantive quality education. It takes the support of the community to do that.

Send money

If you are in a situation to be able to do so, consider a tax deductible donation. There are many needs that are not funded. While we are excited by the new Physical Science building, many needs still remain to make it fully functional.

All donations should be sent to the DVC Foundation, Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill CA 94523 or call 925-685-1230, Ext. 570 or 629. We would appreciate your designating any donations as being for the science department of your choice or the new Physical Science building.

But most of all, keep in touch.
