The mathematics department has a new lab procedure. See below.
Hours by Arrangement: This course has a required 2 hours-by-arrangement (HBA) per week. Attendance at the Math Lab no longer fulfills the HBA requirement for this course.
Instead of Math Lab attendance, there will be assignments on the website with a company called ALEKS; http://www.ALEKS.com. The department-administered HBA labs use the ALEKSŪ software package (cost is $40/semester or $53.30 from the bookstore).
Because of the changes to the Hours-by-Arrangement changes, it is very important that you attend the first class meeting.
The Math Lab still provides many valuable tutoring services; both drop-in and by-appointment.
Mandatory class meetings - mark your calendar!
All class meetings are at DVC Pleasant Hill campus.
